In our Fun Schools literacy program, students are placed in reading groups based on current reading level. Students are enrolled on a monthly basis.
This kindergarten student came into kindergarten in September knowing 26 uppercase letters, 24 lowercase letters, and 12 letter sounds. She received structured literacy instruction from Twa’Lea Jordan and this is her progress in April.
The Fun School Literacy class is a structured literacy class based on the science of how the human brain learns to read. Structured Literacy prepares students to decode words in an explicit and systematic manner. This approach is necessary to help students with dyslexia, but there is substantial research that shows that it is highly effective for all readers.

Fun Schools Literacy Class
*90 minute session, 1 day a week
Sessions are held Tuesdays and Thursdays
at 10am, 11:30am
For best results, it is recommended that a student complete at least 12 weeks of programming
*The monthly class fee of $128.33 is charged per calendar month and reserves your child's seat in the class. This fee remains the same regardless of student absences, holidays, or scheduled breaks during the month. There are no make-up classes unless the class is canceled by the teacher. Fees will not be adjusted or prorated. In December, there will be a scheduled holiday break. During the week prior to the school’s holiday break, students will receive asynchronous virtual work in place of in-person instruction.Please review the online calendar to ensure full understanding and agreement with this policy before enrolling.
